Thanks for the photo valleyboy. You've been on that camp near Primosten city have you.I know where it is.There are nice swimming places all over the area.I hope it was not a troubled time for you while you were there.Today and during the peak of the season (August) it is full of tourists from all over the Europe.

Hi Resident 1 ... I had no problems there except for one incident but that was inland with the Serbs .. anyway, this was beautiful and we loved it there. The rest of the regiments hated us because we got to live here while they lived inland nearest to the fighting zones. much colder in the winter...

I see,you have enjoyed your time while others were enjoying in fear for their lives.Well that is the way how it was, niether of you had chosen where to be.It is however a better choice to swim every day than to stand all day long on your feet near the war line awaiting for the bullet to come.I would choose first myself too :)

We had no choice. We were soldiers told to go wherever - but alas, I am glad I was told to go here. :-)

I recall it was Germans forces who arrived to the port first. Seeing those "black cross" marks on their transporters I thought oh my God not again, are they really back after 50 years :)
