Exactly - and imagine with the plants not having reached further late June, you can only harvest potatoes late august or early september and then these have to last until same time next year. The last ones are probably not hmm enjoyed, but still eaten with thanks!!
The new small ones that you carefully boil in water, give a spoon of butter and some local herbs are a pleaser without any need for company!

Earlier I did not believe that someone could be able to make a fine pic out of potato plants! :) BR, Timo

Thanks Timo! Wasn't it van Gogh making excellent art out of poor people eating potatoes?

Dear Timo.
It was exactly the picture I had in mind!!
Dear Victor.
Being potato eaters from the north, meaning, very enjoining new slowly grown carefully boiled and with a spoon of butter and a dash of fresh parsley - it takes you to heaven.
In April next year the old ones from last year could be better, although you did preserve them as you could.
At present we are so lucky we can enjoy new potatoes yearround although they may not be a minimal harvest as in the north. The carrots, the onion and the toma (garlic) are of similar super quality.
What can we say, except we feel very sorry about your back!
Regards
Pannera
