You placed the photo in the wrong Crowhurst. I just went to visit, because of your photo. Your Yew is in Surrey, not East Sussex (check: http://www.ancient-tree-hunt.org.uk/discoveries/newdiscoveries/Crowhurst+Yew.htm) Freakishly enough there actually is also a 1.200 year old yew in Crowhurst - East Sussex. So our trip wasn't for nothing (What a freaky coincidence!!). But unfortunately...no door.
Have to go to Surrey now...someday!
