Hello Kamaly, I just read your comment that you were the first to see my moon photo, and now I am able to return the favor! I actually much prefer your shot which has great color in a beautiful setting. Well done!

Thanks Eve! I do love these colors, though I'd sure love to have a moon with some real detail, or some actual landscape in front of it! To me, the funny thing about this shot is that its very much along the same lines as Nawitka's 'sky that a bald eagle just flew through', because in summer the moon would have been rising very close to the twin light houses, so that's why we went to the cove that shows in the two shots posted after this one. Ooops, forgot our astronomy, the moon was much further north, and so I had to do a very long pan to get the moon in the same photo as the light houses. So then we indulged me and chased along the coast to see where the moon might be visible in line with them, but of course by then, the moon was in the clouds... but it was a fun November break!

Kamaly, I haven't tried it much but you may need to consider using High Dynamic Range utilities if you don't want us to "just imagine the moon between the light houses" next month. :) Cheers, Volkan

Well Kamaly I am so happy to hear that you're eyes are already X-3D friendly. Thats what I would expect from you :) So now all you need is Stereo Photo Maker to create your own X-3D's.

Sorry, If I confused you about my photon collector. I was referring to my SONY DSC-H9 It has Super sensitive HAD sensor combined with high resolution 14bit Analog to Digital Converter. And it has invaluable Infrared capabilities that make it perfect fit for me. And Because I use the camera nearly always at 3Mega Pixel I increase effective optical zoom to level of 23x .

I rather liked the use of 'Photon Collector' for camera. Seems a bit 3rd Rock-from-the-Sun like, and that is what it is! Now I just someone to explain what a CCD is.... I took a couple of simple shots today to try as 3D, so I'll give it a shot tonight.

kamaly, to my knowledge CCD means Charge Coupled Device and as being the image sensor it is one the most expensive part of the photon collector. These type of image sensors were yielding the best image quality. Hoewer CMOS ccds camealong now even SONY is switching to CMOS CCD perhaps because of lower cost associated with it.

Good luck with you 3D :)

PS: I wish I could ask how many times you've seen summer since your introduction to the "3rd Rock-from-the-Sun" ;)
