A Póvoa de Santarém é uma freguesia do concelho de Santarém, dista 9km da sede de concelho e foi criada a 5 de Agosto de 1673, após se ter separado da Azóia de Baixo. No passado tinha o nome de Póvoa de Galegos por ter acolhido muitos trabalhadores vindos das Beiras e de Trás-os-Montes isto na época de D. Pedro e D. Luís. Tem uma área de 7,938 km2, e 648 habitantes (sensos 2001).
