Greetings Vratsagirl, Thanks for visiting the wave cloud and commenting. I should have known better, well, actually, I knew it was going to be windy up there. Anytime you see that kind of cloud forming to the east of the divide like this, it is going to be windy. Today was no different. I had to turn around at Chasm Junction because of the wind. I didn't have the right gloves and my hands were cold!! Anyway, wave clouds up there can be very interesting and spectacular. Thanks again for visiting and your wonderful comments. It is a nic area.

Nice job dad!

Greetings Mira and Mariko, Thanks for visiting the wave cloud and the wonderful comments.

Mira - I had hiked successfully with these gloves on many other hikes under similar conditions, but yesterday was colder for some reason. I went higher in the wind, so that was probably it. Time to dig out the heavier gloves! Now that winter is back I hope to get more interesting photographs.

Mariko - your clouds of late have been so good I thought I'd better get some of my own. This one was kind of cool.

Thanks again to all for visiting.

Greetings Leo and Billy, Thanks for visiting the wave cloud and commenting. I liked all the different clouds that were also in the sky.

Leo - Grazie per la visita. Sono lieto che vuoi la nube. Si tratta di una nube di vento per un giorno. La brezza era fredda sulle mie mani. E 'stato un grande giorno per escursioni.

Billy - The wave clouds were forming at sunrise and signaled I was in for a windy day. I didn't go beyond Chasm Junction because of the snow blowing in the Chasm Lake cirque, and the miserable expressions on the hikers coming back out. It was chilly on the hands due to poor glove choice, but a great day anyway.

Greetings John, Thanks for visiting the Snow and clouds and commenting. We get some really neat lenticular clouds up here. And sometimes they just grow in length to be a huge wave cloud. It will be calm out on the plains and up against the foothills, but look out if you go into the mountains. It may be a real blow up there!

Wonderfull cloud Rich, this one is really nice photo.

Cheers, Alex

Greetings Alex, Thanks for visiting the lenticular wave cloud and commenting. It was a very pretty cloud and as expected forecast strong winds up high. It was a great day of hiking.

Greetings Fettiz, Thanks for visiting the wave cloud and commenting. It was windy and COLD. My glove were inadequate and I had to come back down. Time to get out the heavy gloves. I didn't see any space ships in the cloud, but they could have had a cloaking device!

Bjørn Fransgjerde on December 1, 2007

The cloud looks beatful Rich, great shot.

Greetings Bjørn.

Cheryl - I'm glad you liked the little cloud and its surroundings. I hope you enjoy the tour of the new winter photos. Thanks for visiting.

Bob - I'm glad you liked the wave cloud. They are neat and look like aliens could pop out at any time. They also indicate wind is nearby. It was a fun day.
