(i) The Kri-kri (Capra aegagrus creticus), sometimes also called the Cretan goat, Agrimi or Cretan Ibex is an animal found only on the island of Crete in Greece and three small islands just offshore.

There are still only about 2,000 of these goats on the island and they are considered vulnerable. These two were photographed in a park in the town of Chania.

Not on the menu, but I found it nevertheless. Very exciting shot! A detail I really like: both their eyes are catching a nice light.

Thanks again for your nice comments, Ken. I like those looks too. Seems as they really are serious. Those fellows must have gigantic headaches regularly.

Someone is going to get hurt! As its in a zoo, I think, at least it won't be the photographer!

Nice - Very nice - Jethro

Wow! I'm gonna have to come back again after you have an (i) here. What critter is this?? Was it a long struggle?

Awesome capture!

Thanks for reminding of the importance of descriptions, Jean.

These animals are Cretan Goats (the local name is Kri-Kri, very good name for a critter :). They were living in the town park of Chania, so it was probably some kind of "friendly" pastime or exercise to keep them fit.

Great title !

Thanks a lot, motorhand. Probably a very daring conclusion but it sounds that you also have sometimes read a forum or two on the internet :) . Best wishes
