With seeing the perfection of your photography, I am sure you would like to know that this is the Sheildstown Bridge in Jackson County, Indiana. I crossed this bridge most everyday of my early life until it was replaced with the concrete bridge.
It crosses the East Fork White River, and in the 1800's there was a mill located just west of this bridge. When the river is low you can still see the floor of the mill that was built in the 1800's. There was hope that a town would be established at Sheildstown, but that never came to pass.
Thank you for documenting the covered bridges in Jackson County. Your photos are wonderful reminders of the past.
Thank you for the information, I did not know. :(
