These Camel Spiders drink the blood of Camels, they have suckers to hang on, as you can see on there underside in this photo, and two large fangs, they are very ugly, and can run really fast, hence the long legs!

I used to work in Saudi Arabia as an ex-pat, I heard some scary tales of how fast they could move! Also some of the lads used to cast them in plastic kits to put on the mantlepiece at home, but they are to ugly to look at, better off in a museum! Also I heard of them being put in a bucket to fight with a scorpion, I don`t know which came off best though! I once caught a lizard that was over 3 feet (one metre) long though when I was on nightshift work, I had it by the tail, and picked it up to go into the workshop, I slapped it onto the workbench, & all the Arabs came to see what all the fuss was about, it ended up in their pot! They said it was good eating.
