This lock-up, known as ‘The House of Confinement’ is in King Street.

It dates to 1820.

The single storey building is of square plan built with stone blocks. It has a triangular stone tiled roof with chimney stack. The oval topped door has stone jambs with a wooden plank studded door with iron strap hinges. There is a date stone above the door and a small round window with iron bars high on each side.
