Lovely title dear Nick - and a lovely representation of November 5th :)))

Nick Weall on November 8, 2011

Amelia Royan ~ I was rather hoping that you might spot this one dearest LGM so I'm really pleased that you did :)) I was trying to look at fireworks a different way this year :)~ as for the title ~ well it just sort of came to me xxx

I can't understand why I am the only visitor here :))

Things on Panoramio are taking a new turn. I have just read:

More than 2900 members and >15400 photos taken in difficult situations, this collection stands 9st in most popular panoramio.

So group owners are having private competitions about the size of their groups? Nuts!

Nick Weall on November 10, 2011

Amelia Royan ~ Well said LGM ~ Most groups as they stand are a complete waste of effort and a pointless exercise. Something there is a thread about in the forum under Groups about any sign of increased viewings. Maybe a few of the very specialised groups might have a meaningful future especially if they are adminstered well, but in general terms groups are a glorfied tagging system and one that does not work particularly well at present due to the very slow scanning rate of content. The point of groups was to encourage interaction and discussion of a postive nature within the groups ~ not negative discussions like this one:) Heyho. Each to his/her own and maybe something more positive might evolve as time goes by. In the meantime NUTS it is!

There is no sign of increased viewing in my opinion, and some groups are just trash cans. The owner and moderators seem to allow anything in :))

I have a group - it is very select ;))

Amelia Royan ~ you are most welcome ~ I'm very busy right now organising my ticket to Fife, the musket and drum come later :)))

Theolfa on November 10, 2011

It does suggest a fleeing figure followed by a bird, Nick! It looks like you had fun on Bonfire night. I tried taking some pics of fireworks at a wedding celebration earlier this year - but they weren't worth showing, so I'm very impressed with all of yours. Cheers! Theolfa

Nick Weall on November 10, 2011

Theolfa Oh ~ Fireworks a very hit and miss subject I think really :) Having tried with varying degrees of success to capture the entire spectacle for the past couple of years ~ this year I thought I'd try a longer lens and slower exposures ~ still very hit and miss but enough to feel moderately pleased about ~ and if I impressed you then that is enough :)) All the very best to you ~ nick

Theolfa on November 15, 2011

You always impress me, Nick, but a lot of times I'm lost for words. :D

Nick Weall on November 15, 2011

Theolfa, ~ You can string words together as beautifully as the pearls of water droplets upon an early morning cobweb :))

Methinks we have the bard in our midst Theolfa, he hathaway with words!

Amelia Royan on November 16, 2011

Methinks the bard has lost his tongue!

Nick Weall on November 16, 2011

Amelia Royan ~ Foresooth ~ not at all dearest LGM ~ I was rather hoping that that dear Theolfa might find my reply to her :)))))
