Like it!! Is it in someones garden? I saw 3 brightly painted cows in a garden when I was staying in a hotel in Eastbourne a few years ago. I would like a willow deer in mine :)
Well Rosa this takes some explaining!
The front can be seen here as Wickid Pets
The Kangaroo and the Hen are real and it is a great and cheap place to take the kids to see exotic animals!
Here is an article from the local paper
Best wishes Peter
I'm not sure I can get on with this Peter - how about you?
I went to Singapore zoo earlier in the year and found myself in a compound with basically tired out tame old kangaroos wombling past us. It was the most depressing sight. Rather that being cheered by the sight of these wild animals interfacing with us, it was most sickening.
Such a shame.... for us that is.
At least the price at £1.50 per is not a rip-off (unusual for the UK) but what is a ground squirrel (and don't anyone suggest minced squirrel meat)?
Anyway, I am never less than honest Peter and hope you will forgive me this monologue here.
Very best of good wishes - Jethro
Good morning Peter, I actually thought none of them were real! Just read your link. I'm all for abandoned animals being rescued but one would hope a wild animal like a kangaroo could be found a more suitable environment? Best wishes, Rosa.
Hi Rosa and Jethro
Let me first say that I have got over the shock of seeing a Kangaroo alongside the Stafford Road at about 11.00 in the morning. It took me a while to realise that I was not hallucinating due to an overdose of Marston's Pedigree. When I turned the corner I saw the front of the building and thought I may have heard of the place before.
My wife and her daughter had taken the grand daughter there about 3 months previously.
They say that she enjoyed it very much, and the animals seemed to be very well loved and cared for, and the staff very informative. As you say Jethro it is certainly not a rip-off.
For myself, I can understand feeling uneasy about this, as I am not a liker of zoos. I must admit that I would rather look at English Coot chicks in the wild than go to the Safari Park at Bewdley and see giraffes and tigers!
At the end of this walk in search Wulfruna's Well, the most pleasing thing was that the Well was dry and I could still quench my thirst with Pedigree.
Zoos, booze thats what I would choose.
