have you ever read the book "Night Calypso" by Lawrence Scott? :-) Fascinating... I feel like I can materialize the characters and the story from your picture. Thx!

Chacachacare was a leprosy colony. It was abandoned when the cure for leprosy was found.

Very good question clydet. It's not too far from Chaguaramas to be able to live there or use as a weekend residence if you have a fast motorboat, but security might be an issue for the times when you are away. Maybe open it as a hotel for guests who want peace and quiet? A little dock outside with a restaurant to serve visiting yachts? As it is now, there is not really anywhere outside of Chaguaramas for the many visiting yachts to go if they want access to services of any kind.
