A unusual view of this Saddleworth village as the low Autumn sun catches some of its buildings and the background of Wharmton hill.
Thank you Marina.
Best wishes, Herb

Yves, welcome to my gallery. I am very happy that you like this. Please call again.
The place sticks in my mind Herb thanks to Brassed Off. I'm sure there was a Brass Band contest there!
A smashin' tree/village mix this is - frankly I am amazed how many trees there are.
Living where I live you notice these things.
Cheers ol' buddy - Jethro
Beautiful landscape and very good shot!
Friendly greetings from Russia!!!
Jerthro - great that you like this and it rightly reminds you of 'Brassed Off' -never saw the program but Greenfield and our surrounding villages here are renowned for their Whit-Friday brass band walks and competitions (about 30 of them at least??. On that Friday night my lounge resounds from the distant tones of brass. Yep, many more trees than were there in our recent past making this an exciting picture. Your place looks great too.
Alexey Panfilov, welcome to my gallery. Very nice that you should enjoy this glimpse of one of the villages close to my home. Of course for me, I love the lighting. Please call again.
So, lets see if I can happen to be in England next Whitsuntide Herb
Then I might just happen to be in this part of Yorkshire!
Very beautiful place, excellent image! Like!
