Hardy Lake Provincial Park Trail
You will find the trails in Hardy Lake Ontario Provincial Park just off of Hwy 169 east of Torrance.
This photo came on 3rd Place in SPC contest -Oct 2011, and 4th in much tougher Hungarian DNV competition in October 2013.
The 'wilderness' 8 km trail (at least 2-3 hours, if you collect mushrooms, takes much longer!), that traverses rocky outcrops, circles the lake with magnificent views of untouched shoreline, wetlands and forested areas..
I have seen a snake, wild turkey and of course chipmunks and squirrels. There are deer and moose, but these were to shy to face the camera!
There is a good access to the lake, so swimming should be good, but October is bit late in the season for that!
