The Roman Bridge is one of the four old stone bridge in the city of Sarajevo, which are still preserved. The other three bridges are Seher-Ćehajina bridge, Latin bridge and goat bridge. In 1530th this region is passing the famous travel writer Benedict Kuripešić not reported anything about this bridge. But 20 years later, Catarino Zeno writes about this bridge, and says it is a stone bridge with seven arches on the river Bosna. So that was built after the 1530th and before the 1550th year. We do not know anything about who ordered the construction of a bridge or who it was built for.
