This is me at my desk at Parr Lumber on Friday, November 30, 2007. I am a bookkeeper and have been with the company for 30 years! :)

You can see some of my photographs on the wall around my desk.

So now you know who I am!!! ;-)

Greetings from Oregon! DeEtte

Hi DeEtte, Happy Friday! You have a much neater desk than mine... looks like you are all ready for Christmas too! Nice to see that big smile too :)))

Thank you Vicki and Marilyn.

Actually, Vicki, my desk wasn't all that neat...the two monitors and my inbox were hiding all of it! ;)

Happy Friday!! :)

Vicki Atkins on November 30, 2007

...and that's the beauty of having two monitors.. its not what you can see, but what you can't! ;)

Hi There, DeEtte! Nice office!

Thanks VKeith! I've been enjoying all the Photoshopped pictures of your desk! They are much more interesting that just a plain ol' photo! ;-)

Thank you Esseil and Evangelos (I think!), although I'm not sure what your comment says Evangelos...I thought it was French, and translated it as "johny you is not year angel" I'm not sure what that means exactly????? What were you trying to say, in English please! :)

Thanks, DeEtte

Thank you Palmina. I decided to do a self-portrait this time. It's is very rare that I will be in ANY pictures! I'm always behind the camera... Anyway, in this one, I decided that my desk was hiding most of me... :)

Cheers, DeEtte

Hello DeEtte! How nice to meet you! Your office is very nice with all the beautiful pictures on the wall! BTW, are you all right? I've heard that the Northwest has been hit by severe storms. Hope you were not affected by it. Greetings, Anne

DeEtte Fisher on December 6, 2007

Thank you for your nice comments May. Yes, the Northwest has had some very severe storms this week. My area was not affected much at all, other than some heavy rain and strong winds. The Oregon coastline was hit with the worst of the storm (I live about 125 miles from the coast), with thousands of huge trees blown down across the coast highway. The tallest Sitka Spruce in the United States snapped off at about 75 feet up the trunk in hurricane force winds! It was estimated to be 750 to 800 years old!! That was a horrible loss to the state of Oregon, because it was a very popular tourist attraction.

The state of Washington also had some severe flooding, which closed Interstate 5 (the freeway that goes clear from Canada all the way south to Mexico) because part of the freeway was under 10 feet of water!! About 20 miles of it was completely closed for 5 days because of the flooding. It is still closed to regular traffic, but today the commercial truckers were allowed through. The past 4 or 5 days they have had to go 7 hours out of their way to bypass the flooding!

Greetings, DeEtte :)

Hello DeEtte! Good to know that you were not affected by the storm but how sad that the tallest Sitka Spruce in the U.S.A. was destroyed! That's really a terrible loss. I hope everything is all right now. Greetings, Anne

Anne, I am so sorry that I called you May! :( I think I had just replied to her and I must have had brain-freeze or something like that... Anyway, I am SO SORRY!!! I'm not very good at remembering people's names in everyday life, but you'd think that when it is written right in front of me I wouldn't get it wrong!! :)

Greetings! DeEtte

Hi DeEtte! You don't have to apologize at all. That's all right and it happens to me, too. Have a nice Sunday! Cheers, Anne:)
