Thanks Giulio, and Luud,

For your comments. Was lucky to discover the nest in the tree as the woodpecker was just leaving. I waited from a distance. Some time later the bird came back and as i was clearly visible it took some time for the mother to go up to the nest.

Greetings Erik

Wow Erik this is a truly wonderful capture and I like the story above of how you achieved it. Congratulations and a YSL from me ~ this must be a very rare shot I think. All the best ~ nick

Hallo Tjeert dik vier jaar geleden dat je hier dit berichtje achter liet en nu pas ontdekt....... shame on me!Een zeer verlate DANKJEWEL!

Thanks Partha and so sorry to have missed your comment.

It took quite some time for the mum to get comfortable with me standing there Nick. But she had no choice her pecker was all filled with bugs and beasts and her little one was calling out feed me! Thanks a lot for your YSL

Groeten, Best regards, Erik
