Someone is running steam, love it!

Itallica on November 20, 2011

Full steam ahead!

Thanks Nick! I am glad I was successful! If you did not get out at this angle you really did not fully appreciate the experience & how truly dusty it was:)

There is just a special magic about steam engines, isn't there JB!

Exactly Tery!

Mmmmm, just like making omlettes without cracking eggs, you caint thresh without thar bein' dust and husks!

Wonderful time I had here, Thanks Joy ..... now where is the tea and cake stall?

Well said Mike and very true:)

On down the lane behind the thresher...or it was:} Afraid by now it is long gone cold and silent and packed up for the winter! Good thing you are tucked up snug and warm in your little house...eith perhaps some biscuits and a cuppa to be had! Glad you enjoyed your tour!

Hi Liam! Glad you commented on a photo I was up to date with so I could reply right away:) It is always frustrating when an old friend stops by and I am so deep in comments I don't have time to make a quick reply:)

Of all the shots this is the one that tells the most about the threshing days and gives the big picture. So I am happy to see that you found it and liked it:)

Thanks for stopping by. Hope you are having a good Thanksgiving weekend!

Mmmmm, not 'tucked up' Joy and not 'little house' , but you may say suitably ensconsed in my wee hoose'!

No biscuit for me pet, only crackers (sugar free) is all I'm allowed!##I just got home tonight from a Birthday Celebratory evening meal at my friends Stu &Doreen, the family were there making 6 in all,IT'S MY BIRTHDAY TOMORROW....Sunday 27th Nov.

You be good now, y'hear?

joyfotos on November 27, 2011

LOL Mike! Here I go forgetting English biscuits are not the sugar free concoction that American ones typically are. But glad you are at least allowed crackers. Sounds as if you have had a grand evening! Let me wish you a HAPPY BIRTHDAY since if my calculations are right it is your birthday now in your neck of the woods.

I'm doing my best to be good. First Saturday I have had off work in a bit and I am trying to catch up on paper and computer work:)

Hope you have a grand day tomorrow!

That's such a good shot Joy..I see the funny side of this image..The guys have chosen to cough and splutter by the beer tent under that pall of steam and smoke, rather than brave it out at the other end near the thresher :))

Lovin it :))
