BTW, I found this photo most interesting, as I studied at Bretton Hall College in the early '70s - long before it was ruined by BH's scrap iron laying around.

Dear Allan, Thanks for your reply and your offer to let me use your Yorkshire photos for the "Cuckoo Day" quiz. Your lovely shot of Aysgarth Falls is another one I'd possibly like like to use. I'm trying to get a spread of locations throughout the county and a fair range of familiar and less familiar spots. (The participants will have an anagram and a clue about the images to help them too.) It seems that Bretton Hall students' artistic view of the world rarely conforms to the conventional. Life in Marsden has not been the same since your fellow Bretton alumnis' creation "The League of Gentlemen" was screened on TV. The stir when the Local Shop sprang up overnight on the edge of Marsden Moor was nothing compared to the realisation that most of the characters were alive and well in the village. Kind regards, John
