This huge old house is in the center of Cornwall Village right next to the church. As a UPS driver, I had to deliver to the house behind this one, which was scary looking too. If this house was fixed up, it could easily sell for over $2 million, especially considering the house around the corner is listed at around $1.2 million and it looks a little smaller. Dudleytown, which is an abandoned village at the top of the mountain just south of this house, is supposedly haunted and contains old foundations and rock walls. Apparently it's illegal to go up there since it's now privately owned, but I'd still give it a shot since the Appalachian Trail goes through it. It's history is on the Town of Cornwall website at www.ct.gov

This is NOT an old house. It is Rumsey Hall. It was the original home to the Rumsey Hall School which relocated long ago, out of Cornwall. The stained glass window of Sunflowers was put in place in the early 90's as a part of an effort to rejuvinate interest in the building and to save it. The school's structure was sound at the time, but due to espostos, the renovations would be costly. It is truly sad, that such a lovely building will likely be torn down.
