Note there is no built in retreats for pedestrians on this Splendid Packhorse bridge at the village of Rearsby
I visited here to see where my Grandfather and his family came from. I was taking a picture of this farm across the bridge and realised that its yard and the far buildings was the background of an 1897 photo of my GF (WM Hardy age 18) on horseback in uniform of Earl of Leicester's Yeomanry.
It surprizing the memories a photograph can recall, Rearsby was well worth the visit for me and I have included the village church in my latest book The Leicestershire Village Church.
