Bravo Richard! A stunning sunrise shot, the light on the clouds is so beautiful.

Greetings Alan, Thanks for visiting the sunrise and commenting. I was heading for the hills and saw the clouds. It was odd that there was just this little group and they were right over the horizon where the sun was going to come up. I decided to stop and was rewarded with a flock of sea gulls to boot. Great start to a great day.

Cheers,

Rich

Rich, let me add my applause to you for this shot. On a page filled with crisp blue skies and bold but cold-looking snow and ice, the warmth of the sun is a delight...and the sea gulls are a gift. Well done,

Hank

Greetings Hank, Thanks for visiting the sunrise and commenting. It's amazing it was all the same day. The sea gulls were perfect for the picture and I didn't even expect them to be around. Just think, one more snow shot and the sunrise would have been lost to page two.

Cheers,

Rich

Beautiful sunrise!

Greetings Mohammed, Thanks for visiting the sunrise and commenting. This was another one of those mornings where I decided to stop for some unknown reason to shoot the sunrise. I had only driven a couple of minutes from the house. Those clouds were the only clouds in the sky. When I started taking pictures I noticed the gulls flying through the frame and thought that was pretty neat. So after a few minutes I had a bunch of shots and felt this was the best. Glad you like it too.

Cheers,

Rich

Greetings Efarova.ru, Thank you for visiting my sunrise and your wonderful comment. I am glad you like it. I knew the clouds were there but had no idea the sea gulls would play a role in this picture. It was a nice start to a great day.

Absolutely gorgeous! I like it because, unlike my flock in the sunset that was just messing around when I tossed a piece of pizza, these birds actually look like they're going somewhere, and the result is just perfect. The sun, red and majestic, looks like the place they might be directed to.

Oh, and here's another yellow star.

Kind regards,

Andres

Greetings Andres, Thanks for visiting. I didn't even notice the seagulls for a while. Then I had to adjust to freeze their motion.

Cheers,

Rich

This is excellent shot, bravo! Regards, Irena

Richard Ryer on June 23, 2008

Greetings Irena, Thanks for visiting. What a lucky shot this was. I was headed for the mountains and stopped because there were those clouds picking up nice color. Then the gulls came into frame. What a treat.

Cheers,

Rich
