This one has been yellow starred by me Richard. :D I love the white high flying clouds against the fantastic blue of the sky. The snow blowing around breaks the harshness of the mountains and brings out the trees very nicely! :D

Greetings Pam, This stop was one of may favorites of the day. I have been looking at Torreys for 40 years as we go by on the highway, and the occasional climb. It's like and old friend on the south side. He broods impressively when the wind blows after a storm. I love to watch the snow and cloud pull off the ridges in the gale. A beautiful mountain in all seasons. Thanks so much for visiting and commenting.

Cheers,

Rich

Beautiful scenery, Rich. I really like your new additions. That's the Colorado I'd die to be in.

I hope you enjoy your season. I don't know how harsh the weather can be so this could be a naive statement, but your photos make it look so pleasurable!

Greetings Andres, Thank you for visiting the Torreys Peak tantrum and commenting. This series was very beautiful, especially because of the harsh conditions they show. I would not want to be on that mountain as seen in this shot. Standing on that ridge would be the same as standing on a wind blown ridge in the Himalaya, just lower in elevation. It is so nice to see the raw beauty of the mountain expressing itself. When I was on Berthoud Pass climbing Miners Peak, it truly was a pleasurable experience. I enjoyed every second of my time up there. I am glad you enjoy seeing the Colorado mountains through my lens. I will try to find additional shots that are just as representative of the beauty of the mountains.

Cheers,

Rich

I thought so. Much of the beauty we see in mountain shots is not as charming as spectacular, but seeing it live has to be a great experience.

Greetings Andres, A mountain in the summer time can be a very beautiful thing and a pleasure to look at. In the winter when the wind blows and it snows they take on a terrible beauty, if you will. From a distance they scene is awe inspiring and almost incomprehensible as to how severe the conditions actually are. Sometimes you venture into those conditions and that is the source of our epic beer stories. The mountains present so many different moods. I like the winter moods the best.

Cheers,

Rich

Actually this is Mount Kelso. Torreys is behind Kelso from this vantage point
