RAVENSCAR---the North Westerly Aspect

Selected for Google Maps and Google Earth

I guess we all have favourite photos depicting a time and place that sticks in our memories, well, this is one of my personal favourites and possibly one my best shots...The skies were heavy and rain laden. The gusting wind, off the land, was blowing a gale, and the temperature at this altitude was plummeting. I made a hurried dash for cover..Seconds later, the heavens opened and this view was completely obscured by low cloud! Another Nikon Coolpix classic!

>| Micha |<~~~~~This majestic cliff dominates the sky line and is a well known land-mark for passing sailors..The distance from my viewpoint to the far promontory is about 5 kilometres. Thank you for your kind appraisal ;)

Feika~~~~Thank you so much for your appreciation Feika :) What I feel is a great privilege to live so close to many beautiful locations..and simply to witness this with my own eyes is a very fulfilling experience..Sometimes, my thoughts are overwhelmed by what I see and my mind is far removed from photography and so I miss many opportunities. I enjoyed your thoughtful comments and considered opinions, you write with feeling and purpose, a quality I admire!

Ventepani~~~~Glad you like it R.M.V :) Thanks for stopping by!

To each of you, I express my sincere gratitude for taking the time to look and comment!

Kind regards!
