The tall clock was originally installed as a feature of Cederquist's Jewelry. A number of its working parts were wood, and it was "wound" by pulling sash weights down. As a teenager, I worked at the store in the '50s, and I "wound" the clock each Saturday morning. The clock was surprisingly accurate! Needless to say, the storefronts on Main St. have changed considerably over the years.
