My apologies for the poor quality of these photos. The storm force winds and the sea spray proved a bit too much for both the camera lens and me.
I like this little series the first is my favourite ~ Bravo LGM :)))
Give us a wave!
Grat shot! I grew up in the Netherlands, close to the sea. When a storm hit the land I often went up on the dyke to watch the waves.
Great stuff Amelia. Do you know how high the lihthouse is?
Hello Nick, I'm pleased that you thought the effort, actually pure delight, was worth it. This 'little' lighthouse is 14 m (46 ft) high so it gives one a sense of the waves. We had a wonderful day out!
"Hello there Bonnie Lad", said she waving frantically! ;))
I would like to be there! L and best regards, Karl
Hi there Norrel, it's wonderful to experience Mother Nature at her best isn't it? Thank goodness for digital cameras - I took about 80 photos to get 3 that were halfway reasonable :))
Hello KC, I have found out for you - after you asked. It is 46ft high, and at times was totally engulfed by waves and sea spray. It was relatively quiet at this point, but got a lot worse!
Thank you dear Karl - and I know that you would have enjoyed being here. The weather is a bit quieter now, but I have been out today again. The sea takes a long time to settle down!
Warm greetings, Amelia
Great shot Amelia, and thanks for indicating the height of the lighthouse (really puts things in perspective). Like
Best wishes from Canada, Randy
He tomado tu faro para mi coleccion FV esta maravilloso. Saludos
Very good picture! LIKE!
Best regards Z.
Hi there Randy, thanks for the visit and comment. There were tines when the waves and spray totally covered the lighthouse - it was a wild and wonderful experience!
Warm wishes from Norway to Canada, Amelia
