Hello Amelia, well, I think this shot shows perfectly what nature can do, very nice. Like. Best wishes, John.

Come on Bonnie Lad - life is for living. I could have driven you here and got both you and your camera into a fantastic position for photography!

Thanks for that Norrel, we really enjoyed this weather. Fantastic experience, but not good for the hairstyle ;)

Good morning dear Timo, I have to say that I would have liked to produce a studio quality photo here, and I'm sure that some people might have managed! Nevertheless it was great fun. The only pity was we couldn't get to other venues as well. Rogaland was taking a battering on Sunday :))

Warm wishes, Amelia

Hello dear Vittorio, I'm pleased that you liked it. I bet Matt Johnson would have enjoyed this weather too. There was one little dog here, and the owners had to carry it to stop it from being blown away!

Ciao, Amelia

Hi there Alan, in fact there were at least 2 supply ships out in this storm. We watched one of them heading north, the other seemed to be stationary. I would have need Qhells for that, I get seasick on shaking suspension bridges! I'm pleased that you liked it though :))

Cheers, Amelia

Many thanks for you visit here Anand, and your very kind comment. We get stormy weather here, but not usually this bad!

Greetings, Amelia

Hello dear Rosa, many thanks, I'm very happy that you have added this one to your favourites. When one considers the height of this lighthouse, 46 feet, it is amazing to think of the height and the width of the 'splash' zone.

Have a good Advent, Amelia

Good morning dear Art, medals for true grit should be awarded to the men and women in helicopters and on supply ships, who got to the rigs etc. and uplifted the brave rig operators - now that must have been frightening! All that was needed here was full weather gear and lead weights to hold me down + a self cleaning lens on the camera. A great day out was had by the storm watchers :))

Cheers, Amelia

I love being out in this weather Randy, and Mother Nature certainly makes one appreciate just how insignificant one is, but also brings an uplifting of the spirit. We really enjoyed being out on such a day!

Many thanks John, yes, it makes one glad to be alive. I would not have liked to have been out at sea in this weather though!

Cheers, Amelia

Amelia Royan on December 1, 2011

Thank you dear Ahmet. I think you might have found the conditions exciting and invigorating - but only with full Norwegian wet weather gear and thermals on :))

Good morning dear Ian, it was so exciting to feel the power of Mother Nature at Her best, and our childlike laughter was carried away to who knows where - maybe Australia.

Warm wishes for Advent, Amelia

Good morning Amelia. This is a good catch. Especially considering your position taking it... ;-)

Be careful out there. People died last week climbing the rocks by the shore in weather like this.
