When I commented this spring on your Karnak Temple picture, I had no thought that we'd be going there. Now it looks as though we may, and I'm even more interested. You found a great point of view for this one! Excellent!
Sorry for the delay in answering. I did not receive an email notice.
I do hope you are able to visit Egypt. Of all the countries we have visited (26 to date), my wife and I agree that, if we had to choose one, it would be Egypt.
We were fortunate to make the trip with some Egyptian friends who own a small travel agency in Germany. There were only seven people in our party including the guide.
We started in Cairo with the Sphynx and Pyramids, then flew to Abu Simbel to see Ramses' Temple. From there we flew to Aswan and took a four-day cruise down the Nile to Luxor and the Valley of the Kings where we went into King Tut's tomb. Next, it was across the desert to Hurghada and the Red Sea, then back to Germany.
It was an amazing tour and one we would do again in an minute.
Can't wait to see your pictures. I took so many, it cost $150 just to develop them in the days of 35mm.
I agree with Marilyn, its very good point of view. Hope I will visit one day as well :o) Greetings from Marketa, Czech rep.
Thank you so much for your visit and your kind words. Our trip to Egypt was one of our most memorable and interesting. It is truly amazing to realize that these spectacular monuments were built so long ago and still stand.
My wife and I had the pleasure of visiting Prague very briefly in 1988. We would love to return someday for a much longer visit. It is a very beautiful city. Do you live near Prague?
I live near Prague, about 90 km. What a pity, that tourist usually coming "just" visit Prague, and they dont see the rest of beauty of Czech republic :o( Hope, you will have chance to come back and visit some places :o)
Thank you, Marketa.
I agree. There are many beautiful places in the Czech Republic. I hope to see some of them someday.
Wonderful photo shot, Like
Thank you, Alfred. Ramses' Temple is fantastic and the effort to save it when the Aswan High Dam was built is quite a story.
YES that is true Leo
