Winter's Night in Airdrie, Alberta

I know I upload too many photos taken from my backyard, but these turned out so colourful I couldn't help but share them!

This was a 15 second exposure, so the real scene was darker. The sky was exceptionally beautiful tonight, set off by the lights on the snow.

Thanks Volkan and Alex! 15 seconds is about all I could stand of the cold! But it was still fairly bright, these pictures are actually darkened a little afterwards.

Yes, first overexposing and than reducing gamma creates stunning colors. Some times thats what I do too. Cheers

Thanks a lot for the comment, Harry!! I'm glad you like my pictures. (Backyard or not?) Volkan, Chip and Vasco are also the ones who taught me 3D photography. I haven't uploaded many 3D photos recently because most have been indoors or macro, but I still do it every chance I get. 3D's very addicting!

Thank you for your response to my question in the forum. I thought I'd browse your pictures to find a favourite. I think I've found it. It is also nice to see someone make a great photgraph from their own back yard. Shows you don't need an "exotic" location to find inspiration. Cheers from Holland, David.

Oh thanks David, glad I could help. And thank you for your nice comment! I don't have many "exotic locations" to go to, but there are wonderful views anywhere you go, even if it has to be your own backyard.
