Early morning at Mills Lake finds a mirror surface perfect for reflecting. In the background you see Pagoda (left), Spearhead (center) and Chiefs Head (right)
Greetings Dana, A pre-sunrise start will get you up to Mills Lake just when the air is the stillest and the lighting perfect. And there will be few other people around. This was one of those perfect days.
Greetings World Vision, Thanks for visiting Mills Lake and commenting. When the air is still and the surface of the lake is calm you get fantastic pictures. Glacier Gorge is one of the most beautiful spots in the park. Thanks again for visiting.
Hi Richard, I had no knowledge about your album till today. It's a long way through your pretty pictures. I take you to my Faf's. It needs some times to look at all your images. Cheers Udo and Greetings from Germany
Greetings Udo, Thanks for visiting again. Thanks for the comments. I am honored to be added to your favorites list. I am glad you like my photographs. This photograph is taken at Mills Lake looking south to the head wall of Glacier Gorge. This is a very beautiful part of Rocky Mountain National Park. From this gorge you see Longs Peak and McHenrys Peak as well as several beautiful lakes and waterfalls.
Greetings Marianne, Thanks for the visit and the wonderful comment. I am so happy you enjoyed the reflection of the mountains in Mills Lake. I was there last Saturday and it was overcast and gray. There is still a lot of snow up high.
Hey Rich, We are planning on being out your way this Sept. Will be staying in Fort Collins with family but hope to spend a couple nights in Estes Park sometime between the 14th and 18th. Are you going to be around? We could stop by the visitor's center at Beaver Meadows and say howdy! We went to Emerald lake last time and Alberta Falls. thinking of Mills lake and Glacier gorge area this time. Any thoughts?
