These little guys pack a real punch -- it almost feels like an electric shock and I've never been stung AFTER I see them. I found this nest after using the electric hedge trimmers on the bush, but also after spaying the whole bush with Wasp and Hornet Killer. That apparently subdued them long enough to get the job done. I can't afford to get stung again because my right hand has nearly doubled in size after getting stung by one boonie bee on two different occasions. Sure takes the fun out of yard maintenance!
