Volkan - A shot of Orion by someone who actually was paying attention to the stars and knew they were there when taking the shot! (Was this another 30 second one? )

This all does seem to be getting weirder with every shot you post! I'm really glad you weren't here the previous week-end!! You would have scooped me on my moon shots that were taken just a few hundred yards further along the coast road!!! The vampire in you might be the only one who'll appreciate the hidden scene in this black-on-black moon photo! I'm already planning my excuses to arrive late for Christmas weekend dinners so I can head back up here to get the moon over the lighthouses when it's a little bit lighter and one can actually see the lighthouses in the photo! But all of the moon shots currently on the first page on my page were taken in the same area as this one by you, and the sunset as well...

Kamaly, yes this is like most of the others exposed 30 seconds and in spite of all that still heavily suffering from low photon count on the CCD.

Actually I did not intend to take picture of the homes by the Atlantic Ocean or the Orion on this picture. What I intended was MOON RISE. But it didn't happened within the limits that I thought I could wait before the neighbors would call cops for someone's "strange" :) activities in their backyard :) While waiting, I played with my green coherent light source ;) and with very bright led flashlight I looked at the ocean which was great. Thanks for sharing your moonrise from the ocean which would be a dream shot for me. Wishing you best of luck for what you expect next month. Take care, Volkan
