Je ne savais pas que tu parlais aussi bien le français Amelia! ;) Amitiés, Christian
the littering problem is especially bad in many developing countries. I know very well the conditions in South East Asia, where Singapore is really the only exception, everywhere else millions of plastic bags and bottles are thrown to the rivers and flushed to the sea. Finally most of it ends up to the beaches somewhere. Here on example from Pattaya.
I never understood how people can carry full packages to beaches, forests and parks, but don't have enough power left to carry back the empty ones...
Best wishes, Timo
Je parle français comme une vache espagnole Christian, mais je peux comprendre la parole écrite, et la parole, si l'on parle lentement ;)
Excellent, Amelia... Love the title and composition...
Lovely shot Amelia i enlarged it and your title is right i think, very nice !Y* and LIKE!
Wonderful shot and very nice title. YSL
Greetings from Tokyo, Japan.
Thanks Steve. I think I'll remind Panoramio Groups and spammers that this is the way I like my inbox ;-)
Happy Christmas and New Year, Amelia
There is no where exempt from the crap tossed overboard. My beach is always covered.
And the few beaches which I visit.
Love the photo, Amelia. But that isn't new. You've always been a firm favourite of mine.
Greetings from Iraq
That's stunning Amelia! :D Perfect light and a very good title, nice work.
Time to check again, Amelia,
And maybe it's an idea to check the spam folder too. ;-))
Wow, interesting composition!! Well done.
All the best from Rio de Janeiro, MAN
I see that I have missed a lot of your latest entries. Always a joy to see. Here, like there, this winter has brought a lot of litter to the shore. Cleaning up in the spring will be a lot of work.
And I see that I have missed a lot of replies!
Dear Suzi, this is an unforgivable delay even for one of my advanced age! I love the seamail pun. We are also getting cold but dry weather after a lot of snow , which seems to be subliming slowly as opposed to melting. :))
Good morning Lee. I hope you have a lot of patience! many thanks for your lovely compliment and the Y*. I am absolutely delighted!
Thank you Tjeert, and my apologies for this late reply. Something got in the way of early December and mid February - it can't just have been Christmas! :))
Hello Taoy, thank you so much for your visit and especially for your Y*. Greetings to Tokyo from Norway.
Good morning Michele, thank you so much for your kind comment.
Hello Si, I rather suspect that this came from persons onshore. There are certain areas along this coast that collect masses of litter - we will all drown in plastic one day unfortunately, most of which has come from the sea. It's just so sad!
Good morning M Jafar Maash, and thank you for your visit and nice comment. Greetings to Iraq from Norway.
Hello Tomas, I am absolutely delighted that you like this shot, and the title. We couldn't have had better light for a photo like this, or a more perfectly discarded bottle!
Hello MAN, many thanks, and many apologies for this late reply. I am pleased that you liked this photo. Greetings to Rio de Janeiro.
And finally Snemann - thank you for alerting me here, and thank you for you lovely compliment! We had a really bad hurricane here a few days earlier, and in certain areas there will be loads of non-biodegradable rubbish unfortunately. I also worry about run-off from 3 filter bed streams on this beach, but no-one seems to have been affected so far, and have swum in the sea here :)))
Greetings to you all, Amelia
A lovely picture Amelia. A pity there wasn't a message in there! I'm a big litter-picker-upper and it's surprising how many people help! a big Like from me. Cheers, Rosa.
