What makes you think this photo should be accepted for Google Earth?
Austin, thanks for the interest in the photo. If you still did not get it, this was taken - among others - during the well known Salmon Arm Roots and Blues Festival. IMO, it shows the spirit of the festival. If Google users are interested in a place, they might get an idea about the feeling of the place by photos like that, and this is likewise for wildlife and people, both related groups have a hard time on panoramio, and I can see plenty of nice photos with people on your site, which are NOT selected as well. Please respect my wish to stay away from me as expressed in my answer to your post to the bird photo:
Thanks for the link and keep on your good work for panoramio!
By the way, the photo was taken at an ecological reserve close to Huntington Beach.
If you believe, the knowledge of the spot should be reserved to those 2 dozen professional photographers you can see in the "Hunting at Huntington Beach" photo that accompanies the bird picture, that might be totally your private opinion.
I like our fellow users to know, where they can take excellent shots, therefore I asked for a second review, and I am glad, Google had more insight than obviously you "This photo was and should have been rejected the first time. It was accepted the second time by mistake." - Your comment
English is not my native language, so I apologize for my bad English However, I do not have to apologize for bad photographs!
If I look at your comment on my photo "Enigmatic Beauty" "What do you think qualifies this photo for Panoramio?" I have to say: A good photo transfers the spirit of the shot - This was taken at a well known Roots and Blues Festival; I at least try to transfer the spirit.
Again, thanks for the link, but PLEASE stay away from me. I checked your Panoramio presence and your very nice photos, and I see, that you EVEN REPORTET users. In Germany we like to call those fellows "Schulmeister"
I like the community of creative people I find here at panoramio, and I like help like your link, but I do under no circumstances allow anyone to interfere with my creativity.ENDE
Google Earth photo policy:
The following tables list the types of photos that do not get approved for Google Earth and Google Maps. The first table lists subjects that are not approved because their subjects are unsuitable.
Portraits of people, or photos of people posing Events, such as exhibitions, concerts, and parades
I don't make these rules, but I generally agree with them. This photo is fine for Panoramio, and can be found on Google Maps, but because it is a portrait, does not belong on Google Earth.
The rest of your comments I responded to on Successful Hunt.
Correction to my post: This photo is not on Google Maps, but it is on the Panoramio map.
Nice shot, like and vote, Hervé
