Park Wood, St Paul's Cray in winter

Spent most of my play time in the woods Park Wood although there were no walking tracks ( it was fenced, private land ). I knew those woods and every tree like the back of my hand hahaha. Upon leaving school I joined the merchant navy then, in 1966 ( 17yrs old ), I came here to Australia ( the rest of my family stayed in England ). I am now retired after a 30yr career in Air traffic Control at Sydney and live in Queensland. Thanks so much for those photos, they bring back wonderful childhood memories. Thanks Andrew - pleased to bring back some memories for you. I don't really know the area myself, but Park Wood now lies on a long-distance footpath called the London Loop which encircles outer London. I walked it in 2008 and passed along the track shown in the photo.
