Hi Birgit, Unfortunately, one can only join groups if one "upgrades" to a Google account, and I'm not willing to be converted. So along with being ostracized from the Forum now (and therefore even prevented from providing feedback on the totally botched up new Forum format) I can't join any Groups. But thanks very much for the YSL-V and the invitation. Cheers from New England
A very special view , really beautiful ! Like and vote ! Mircea R.
I have missed so much on here. A lake of molten gold... well worth a Y*!
Beautiful picture! Like. Greetings, Fabio
Hi Jessica - Thanks! And good to see you back! It does seem that so many of us from the earlier days have gotten more complicated lives that keep us away. But its sure nice to be able to stop back in and hear from old friends!
Thanks very much Mircea, Fabio, and javier! Greeting from Horn Pond :)
It seems like it's been that way for a lot of us. For awhile I didn't do much photography at all. I've been getting back into it, but my participation around here has still been limited to posting the occasional photo, and barely any commenting. And from the looks of things, a lot of people I remember from the early days have abandoned the site for good. :( But such is life on the Internet, I guess!
I'm still around here.
And you were here a month before me!
It is a very nice photo. LIKE. Best Greetings.
Love the amber color with the white. Lovely!!
Hi, Jessica G and Norrel, I'm still here too.
Thanks yet again, Johnbrzozaphotos :)
Thanks very much BOGDAN !
Thanks Jean, Norrel, and Jessica - Nice that we're all still around to some extent, though I sure find it hard to have too much enthusiasm for the site. But I don't know if that would be any different even if the site had stayed unchanged (lolol, back in the Days of Spam of Olde!) It's nice to remember the old days, and making all the amazing discoveries of each others' photos, though. And while they've all had their own dramas and changes in personalities, the swans are still at Horn Pond. Life goes on!
Things are OK here, no Snowys yet. Thanks for your note. Life goes on, indeed. The swans and snowys will still be there for us to enjoy, whether we take pictures of them or not.
I see you haven't done the "upgrade" either. I can't get up the energy for that.
I just wanted to say Hi! I don't have time to chat now. Soon! All the best to you.
Hi Nawitka! Definitely good to hear from you when I'm on vaca for the week so can reply...Yeah, looks like the site is starting to make threats to those of us who are against "upgrading", since the sign-in screen now read
You are still using an old account.
It would be very good if you upgraded your account to a Google account. No data will be lost during the migration. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to continue supporting non-upgraded accounts. The sooner you upgrade, the better.
UGH! The total botch up of the Google-format forum is ample reason enough for me not to be willing to convert to google. So looks like I may have to make some decisions...
If you do have time, though, you may notice that Rien commented on a pretty amazing Snowy photo on a certain other social site recently - so the snowies are flying! Haven't heard of any around here on the east coast, though. (You might be interested in being a friend of that certain other west coast photographer, though, haha. He does keep things interesting where ever his page is.)
