The railway station in St George’s Square at Huddersfield, is a very ‘stately’ building. Built by James Pigott Pritchett at a cost of £19,000, it was completed on 1st October, 1850. The building has an impressive portico 416ft long, with Corinthian columns 68ft high and has long colonnaded wings.
