A toast to my Panoramio friends, all around the earth, with a very local drink. With Fortune apples in the greens and Redfield apples in the glass, may your lenses find the red fields of sunrise and sunset, and good fortune find you.
And to you, Armagnac.

a funny story about your friend from Kansas, a very nice thought here for me, and a beautiful picture, Pennington, thanks a lot ! I have cider once in a while, especially with crêpes, the big speciality of Britany, of which I don't live very far away. And we love apples, it's our everyday dessert at home, from september - october until springs. as I heard before, an apple a day keeps the doctor away ! Greetings from France... à ta santé !
Pennington, on December 9, 2007, said:
Hi Armagnac -- I am a big fan of apples, too -- and the ciders.
Dino, the alcohol content varies with the year and the variety, but is less than wine (and far far less than armagnac!) One of the strange things about apple cider in the US, is that most people call unfermented apple juice "apple cider", so if you want the real thing, you have to ask for "hard apple cider".
You can read more about how this particular cider was made here.

Thank your very much, Pennington. I wish you all a Mery Christmas and all the best ... also for catching some nice and wonderful pictures in 2008 on our unique Planet, witch we can share to all over the world. Panoramio gives everyone the chance to participate, also those who are not able to travel. It also shows that everybody has to be carefull with our enviroment. The next generation should be able to have such wonderful impressions too, not only to pictures.
Thanks to you all Cheers Klaus

An enticing photo - one would like to taste also something. In many fields of Austria also a lot of cider is made.

This is a lovely (and tasty looking!) image Penny. Very nicely done. I enjoyed your new poats as well. I'm glad I can visit home now and then through your shots. I hear you all have some snow up there now! My wife is so excited that she will be able to have snow for Christmas which is unlikely here in Virginia. We'll be up tomorrow! Hope you all have a wonderful holiday! Bruce

Hello, Anita, Manfred, Bruce -- Season's Greetings to each of you!
Yes, we have snow for Christmas, this year -- more than we have had in recent Decembers. Snow tires, long down coats, boots with ice traction, a pair of skis, a good fire and a warming drink are the accoutrements that help us survive -- and enjoy -- it all. And of course, our cameras! Can hardly wait to see your images of Home Revisted, Bruce!

Klaus -- Yes, I share your sentiments. It is both grand and enormously sad to feel sometimes that we are all part of a joint effort to record natural beauty our grandchildren and their grandchildren may never see.
