That's Venus, Spencer. :) (Jupiter would have been high up in the sky, way out of this frame, a little to your left.) And I think this was shot at about 5:45 p.m., so the clock on your camera might be precisely 12 hours behind. ;)

Thanks Who. I had heard Jupiter was around, mut my instinct told me it was Venus because it is so bright. I wasn't sure which. Thanks for your help with the astronomy and camera time.

Nice capture,,, I watched this too from south west Australia but the orientation of the moon & Venus is totaly different down here :)
