This Castle now known by the name Kirby Muxloe Castle was built but never completed by one of the ancestors Willam Hastings, the building work commence late May c1480 work stopped when Willam protested against Richard the third grabing the English throne in c1483, he lost his head.

Hi Rosa The Castle moat is still in use by the fishermen and the many ducks, I do believe that the family still used the completed part of the Castle until about c1583/6 I will try and serch the family records.I will ask at the Guildhall. Thanks for the L. regards Bob
