Greetings Kathy, What a neat old barn. I can't imagine how valuable the old barn wood is worth. And the new age gate looks so out of place. It's always fun to find old stuff like this. Reminds me of some old barns by Leadville and Boulder.
I'm a sucker for an old barn. My poor husband has to stop quite often.
I'm very pleased to help you out.
what a great name for town, great photo
Great shot. Thanks for sharing
Saludos from Spain.
There is a book on Tennessee Towns. I have it packed away right now because we are moving soon. It does not however, cover the smaller areas and the reasons for their names. I have considered writing a book that tells the reasons behind some of the names of places here in Tennessee. It would take extensive research. We also have names like "Big Lick" (because at one time there was a huge area with salt for cattle) and Sinking Cove. (?)
Thank you d. yalamidis I enjoyed looking at your work as well.
A beautiful old barn! :) It's rich with character and beautifully captured!
