It looks like a painting! You've had great weather a month ago, Ryan!

Hi Ryan, a very beautiful shot! And it's great that no blast disturbes the surface of the lake so you got a perfect reflection.

Greetings, Xenia

Thanks May and Xenia! The river is dammed up to form this little pond. The river level was on the low side, so I was able to walk out almost to the middle of the dam to take the picture. Even when the river is higher, unless it's flooding, the pond is usually very flat just like this.

Greetings, Ryan

The lake is just like a mirror. Wonderful picture, Ryan! Greetings, Anne

Glorious! You have a star.

Hello, Anne and Vicki! Thanks for your comments. It was the light that made it so nice, the way it bounced back and forth off the rocks and water. Just by good luck that I visited at the right moment.

Great shot, Ryan. Looks really peaceful. I will have to figure out how to get here!

Very nice image Ryan and greetings from Virginia. Looks like a place to revisit over and over. Love those reflections but I'm sure it's equally as pretty frozen or covered in snow...or fog...etc.

Regards, Tom

Hi Gerry, things here fall a little short of those USA Today pictures. No ice today, but we have another week to go before this storm system clears the area. So far Sunday the 9th was the worst of it for St. Louis. Thanks for visiting!

Thanks Maggie! It's very easy to find. It's about the easiest to find tiny park you could ask for, with hardly any backroads to travel or places to make wrong turns. I think there might even be a sign for it.

Tom, are you trying to give me a hint to go back?! I probably will at some point because it's so close. Thanks and greetings!
