I am a descendant of Shemuel Kearney. My great grandfather was William Robert Kearney and grandfather was Sam Crawford Kearney. We are planning a family reunion this fall at Shiloh Church in the Margaret community and would love to have photos to share with those interested in our family tree but have no idea where the home is now located.
All I know is that the house is located somewhere in the Louisburg area. It was taken down, piece by piece, about three ago at its original location south of Franklinton. The home was on land zoned by Franklin County for commercial use and had to be moved. Seriously though, much of that area along U.S. Highway 1 is swamp and not really suitable for such development. The house should have remained where it was.
Jan...e-mail Jeff at email@example.com. I believe he is the new owner of the house. Jeff should be able to tell you more about its restoration and where it is at now.
Shem Kearney was my 6x Great Grandfather. My email to the new owner of the house bounced. Does anyone have any new info on the location of the house?
Please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org
Jeffrey B. Anderson is the person who purchased the Shemuel Kearney House in 2009. He also owns the historic Cooke House on Peach Orchard Road near Orchard Hills Subdivision which was recently restored. That is the only e-mail he provided, email@example.com.
I found the house on Google Earth. It is being reconstructed next to the Cooke House on Peach Orchard Road in Louisburg.
