the home of the Ladies of Llangollen - very unconventional for their day
Indeed! They had fine taste in lodgings, though, that's for sure! It was a real shame that this was closed when we were there today - must visit properly next year. Thanks for your visit, Steve!
I just remembered that I missed an open day there earlier this year when some guy had some wolves on show, and how he was planning to release them into the wild on Llandegla Moor; or at least that's what he hoped!
great doorways...what are they made of?
wonderful shot Sarah :o)
Hi Rom@nce, thanks for this! They are made of wood & amazingly carved - I'll post a couple of detailed photos of the carvings when I have time tomorrow. I don't know if it's haunted, but it certainly has a colourful history!!
Thanks again for your visit!
Many thanks for your visit & your comment!
Have a fantastic Christmas & all best wishes to you & yours for 2008!
All best, Sarah
Hi Rom@nce, just for you these 3 detail photos : 1, 2, 3. As you see, it was very strong light, so some of the detail is a bit bleached out while other bits are in deep shadow. I hope you like them!
fantastic detailed photos Sarah, thx so much :o)
My pleasure - so glad you appreciated them!
Muchas gracias, Arturo, tanto por la visita como por el comentario amable!
