This small and unassuming sheep dip at the seaward end of Gallety's Road (South Canterbury) may have been constructed as a community dip on what was then Allandale Estate, but this needs further research. It was built in 1913 - that much is clear from the Arabic numerals but apparently they were only added when some bright spark mentioned that 1913 in Roman numerals is MCMXIII - not XXCXIII as that converts to the year 113! all that inscribing for nothing! Nice try though.
