This big-dimensioned temple is situated in the west extreme of D. Pedro V square in Castelo de Vide. It is the main church, as well as one of the biggest in Alto Alentejo region. Its construction began in 1789 in the place of a former chapel, ending around 1873. A wide staircase leads to the church. The south-turned main façade is surrounded by squared structures and two bell towers. Each one of them has four windows with towers on top. At the centre, you will find the main door of the church with a granite lintel decorated in Baroque style. The rectangular nave has seven volumes: the nave, the main chapel, the transept, two bell towers and two sacristies.
