Beautiful ! That is a very nice Xmas postcard...

Roger Sandvik on December 15, 2007

What a lovely decoration! Something you made Marilyn?

Marilyn Whiteley on December 15, 2007

Thanks Tibor, Jacques, and Roger. It's homey but I didn't make it. I've made wreaths but out of yew branches, and they were too stiff and hard to bend. The wreaths didn't look as nice as this! Greetings, Marilyn

Precioso detalle Navideño, muy bonita fotografia Marilyn, un saludo.

Thank you, Verjaga, and greetings from Canada.

Greetings Marilyn, What a very nice and nostalgic shot. The old weathered wood framing on the window is a perfect match for this old style hand made wreath. It exudes the Christmas Spirit. Thank you for sharing such lovely treasures you find.

Marilyn, that looks very similar to our wreaths… and a lovely window agian. Great photo!

Best wishes, May

Thanks, Rich and May. I find it refreshing to see something so nostalgic and homey when faced so much of the time by the glitz of a commercialized Christmas!

Best wishes, Marilyn

Perfect Marilyn and no word other than nostalgia will fit the above!

BTW is that a bag of coal hanging in the middle of it?

Season's Greetings, Pam

Marilyn Whiteley on December 16, 2007

Thanks, Pam. It looks like it; I was curious, but I didn't wonder enough to investigate while I had the chance! Marilyn

Thanks Bruce and Eva. The surprising thing about the pioneer village is that it has been developed around an old farm in its original location, while other buildings (like this) have been moved here. The city now surrounds it, but it a quiet little oasis that takes your mind and spirit far from the city and the present age. Marilyn
