This shows up the little peak on its flanks Ken which looks like a challenge in its own right.

Do you know the name of that bit?

This is (of course) very nice.

Thanks for the comments Jethro* I do not know the name of the feature you refer to. Looking at a topographic map as well as The Photographer's Ephemeris (TPE) it appears said feature is a ridgeline that actually continues to gain altitude from it's apparent peak, of course this would mean that it is not really a peak as it appears. EDIT Looking at Google earth from the side it is a ridge line that peaks then dips before climbing again to the summit.

Ah hah! I found it Jethro it is called Illumination Rock (probably an Illuminati thing), a pretty cool photo here definitely shows why it looks like a peak!

Wonderful photo (by Gimpilator - what a great name) Ken

The feature is reminiscent of the Inaccessible Pinnacle or InPin for short.

I'd love to be up there - but maybe not just right now.

Stay warm - Jethro

Thanks Jethro it's warming up already, supposed to get up to almost 50° today the 3-4" of snow we got is melting pretty fast. We were expected to get 3 feet in the Cascades, not sure how the rivers will handle the runoff.
