Ah.....don't worry. Your work is appreciated. We are all just waiting for that Pulitzer winning tornado shot you're going to get.
Ahem ... could be waiting a while for that one. Haha.
Another beautiful photo of the mountains Rich -- I like the rainbow effect -- all the best for the new year.
It is a joy having both you and Dann (The PhotoDumper) around on Panoramio.
Rich, please allow me to take a moment and waste space on your page to let Bruce know that I hath dumped more photos.
Greetings Bruce And Dann, Thanks for visiting the Sun Dog and commenting.
Bruce - Thanks for the wonderful comments. The sun dog is the first I ever recall seeing and it was such a surprise. It was all I could do to get the car stopped and parked and jump out to start taking pictures. I didn't want this one to get away. Luckily it lasted a long time. Oh, see Dann's message above. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Dann - We could probably settle for a big dust devil. Just paste it into one of your clouds, photoshop up some colors and there you go. Just a thought.
Merry Christmas to all.
Very rare and beautiful effect, Rich! Wonderful image. Best wishes. Eva
Greetings Eva, Thank you for visiting the top of Fremont Pass in Colorado and commenting on the early morning rainbow. I am told this is a Sun Dog, although beautiful is also great description when it just appears in the sky while driving around a corner. I am glad you liked it.
Fantastic effect of atmospherical specific conditions! You've been lucky!
Greetings Matteo, I learned a new word for this phenomenon, parhelion, from the snow coach driver in Yellowstone yesterday. I am glad you like it.
